Fabulous Photographer, David Seidner

The Debutante 1994

David Seidner is one of my favourite photographers so choosing works to put in this post has been quite a challenge.  David was an artist and his work really draws you in, his love of history is apparent, most of his inspiration comes from the past, and he continues to be an inspiration to many today.  Sadly David was taken too soon, claimed by Aids in 1999, had he lived, there is no doubt that he would have been one of the greatest artists/photographers around.

To read a full biography on him go here.

  4. This one too I saved to savour with a glass of wine. It seemed appropriate! Dash, I so appreciate that you always go beyond the obvious so whether you are familiar with the subject at hand or more knowledgable, there is always something new to discover. You put the bar higher and higher. And it is appreciated!

I will look at this post often I think. I just find his work so ephemeral and yet so lasting.

    Merci.

  7. Stunning work from an amazing photographer. My favorites are his photos done for YSL. So painterly. So hauntingly perfect. These images create worlds of beauty.

    Sadly, taken too soon.
